The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane has expressed sorrow over the death of Alhaji Muazu Abdulhamid Wali, Walin Kontagora.
Alhaji Muazu Wali died at the Federal Medical Centre, Bida after a protracted illness.
In his condolence message, Ahmed Matane described late Muazu Abdulhamid Wali as a complete gentleman and dedicated Nigerilites, adding that the great values of hard work, honesty and selflessness that the deceased left behind will be remembered.
” On behalf of the Government and people of the State, I want to convey my sincere and heartfelt condolences to the Sarkin Sudan, Kontagora, Alhaji Saidu Namaska, the family of the deceased and the entire people of Kontagora Emirate over the passing away of Walin Kontagora, SSG stressed.
He prayed Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive the shortcomings of late Walin Kontagora and make Al-jannah Firdausi his final resting place as well as give his family the fortitude and courage to bear the irreparable loss.
Late Walin Kontagora who was the Former National Librarian was born on 15th December, 1940. He is survived by his wife, Hajiya Hauwa Wali, Permanent Secretary, Government House, Minna and many Children.
