The Secretary to the Government of Niger State (SSG), Ahmed Ibrahim Matane has expressed sadness over the death of the former Senator representing Niger North Senatorial District and former DIG Operations, Nigeria Police Force, Senator Nuhu Aliyu.
Senator Nuhu Aliyu died today in Kaduna after a brief illness.
In his condolence message, the Secretary to the State Government described the late Senator Nuhu Aliyu and former Deputy Inspector General of Police as a man of great courage who exhibited great passion, patriotism and dedication to the law enforcement community in the country.
As former Senator, Ahmed Matane noted that the patriotic tendencies and excellent handling of legislative duties concerning the welfare of people and the nation are worthy of emulations, adding that posterity will honour and acknowledge late Senator Nuhu Aliyu better.
The SSG stressed that the death of a loved one, especially the patriarch of a family, is usually painful as it remained irreparable,”but we must take solace in the fact that “from God we all come and to Him we shall all return”.”Nobody shall live longer than the time appointed by Almighty God.
“On behalf of the people and Government of Niger State, “I commiserate with the immediate family of the deceased on this very huge loss, may the Almighty God grant the soul of the departed eternal rest, reward him with Jannatul Firdausi and grant the entire family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss”, Ahmed Matane stated.
