Niger State Police Unveils Series of Activities for 2026 National Police Day

The Niger State Police Command has announced a series of community-focused activities to commemorate the 2026 National Police Day, themed “Community Partnership; Building Trust”.

According to a statement from the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Wasiu Abiodun, the celebrations will begin on Monday, 30th March 2026, with environmental sanitation exercises across all police division communities in the state. On the same day, the Police Medical Service will conduct medical outreach targeting vulnerable groups in Angwan-Daji, Angwan-Sarki, Limawa areas of Minna, and other residents seeking medical attention, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The program continue with a Walkathon by police personnel on Tuesday, 31st March, followed by public sensitization campaigns on electoral offences and safe driving practices on Wednesday, 1st April.

In a gesture of recognition and support, Commissioner of Police, CP Adamu Abdullahi Elleman, will present welfare cheques to beneficiaries and families of deceased police personnel on Thursday, 2nd April.

The celebrations will culminate in a grand finale ceremonial parade at Eagle Square, Abuja on Tuesday, 7th April 2026. The Commissioner of Police has called on the public to actively participate and collaborate with the police throughout the events, emphasizing that “together we can fight crime”.
