The Federal Republic of Nigeria, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has extended its warmest congratulations to the Republic of Guinea on the occasion of its Independence Anniversary.
Honourable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, conveyed heartfelt felicitations to Dr. Morissanda Kouyaté, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Guineans Abroad of the Republic of Guinea.
The anniversary mark a significant moment of pride for Guinea and the African continent, highlighting the nation’s journey towards sovereignty and progress. Nigeria and Guinea share a deep-seated history of friendship, solidarity, and cooperation, rooted in common struggles and a shared commitment to regional integration and African unity.
The Ministry further reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Guinea, particularly in areas such as trade, energy, education, security, and good governance, within the frameworks of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and the African Union (AU). Nigeria commended Guinea’s dedication to peace, development, and regional cooperation, and look forward to continued collaboration for the mutual benefit of both nations.
