The Federal Government of Nigeria has extended heartfelt sympathy and solidarity to the Kingdom of Morocco following devastating floods in the country’s northern regions, which have resulted in the loss of lives, displacement of families, and extensive damage to homes, infrastructure, and farmlands.
According to Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nigeria commended the swift and coordinated response of Moroccan authorities, emergency services, and humanitarian actors in providing search-and-rescue operations, medical assistance, and relief to affected communities. The statement emphasized Nigeria’s confidence in Morocco’s resilience and the importance of continued international cooperation to support recovery and reconstruction efforts.
The Nigerian government also conveyed condolences to the families of victims and sympathies to all those affected, reaffirming its support for Morocco during this challenging period. The message expressed hopes for the swift restoration of normalcy and rebuilding of lives, livelihoods, and infrastructure in the impacted regions.
