Nigerian international Anthony Ijoma has officially signed a three-year contract with FK Radnik Bijeljina, a top-flight club in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Premier League.
According to a statement by his media handlers, Ijoma was presented to the public over the weekend after delays caused by his participation in the recently concluded CHAN tournament and prolonged visa processes.
“Despite these setbacks, Ijoma’s determination and perseverance have finally paid off, and he’s now ready to take on new challenges in Bosnia,” the statement noted.
The forward expressed his commitment to adapting quickly, saying he is focused on learning the local language and adjusting to the club’s style of play.
Founded in 1945, FK Radnik Bijeljina holds a proud place in Bosnian football, with notable achievements including winning the Bosnia and Herzegovina Cup in 2016 and competing in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers. The club’s home ground, the Bijeljina City Stadium, has a 6,000-seat capacity and will now serve as Ijoma’s base.
Fans are eagerly awaiting his debut, especially with upcoming fixtures against strong opponents like Borac Banja Luka and NK Široki Brijeg.
With Ijoma’s arrival, the club is hopeful of strengthening its squad and making a strong push in the Premier League this season.
