NITDA holds awareness road walk ahead of maiden GITEX Nigeria 2025

The Management and Staff of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) on Saturday embarked on an awareness road walk and fitness jog in Abuja to sensitise the public on the forthcoming maiden edition of GITEX Nigeria 2025, scheduled for 1–4 September.

The symbolic walk underscored NITDA’s commitment to mobilising national attention toward the landmark event, which is set to position Nigeria as a leading hub for digital innovation and collaboration in Africa.

GITEX Nigeria officially launched in Abuja on 1st September with the Government Leadership & AI Summit, a high-level forum that will bring together policymakers, technology innovators, and global investors to shape the future of digital governance. The summit will spotlight the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence across public services, infrastructure, and policymaking, with over 500 government officials and 40+ international speakers expected to participate.

From 3rd to 4th September, the event will shift to Lagos, where the Tech Expo & Future Economy Summit will take place at the Eko Hotel Convention Centre. The Lagos sessions will feature more than 100 global tech leaders, 3,000+ professionals, and 100+ exhibitors showcasing cutting-edge solutions in AI, fintech, cybersecurity, IoT, and other emerging technologies. Dedicated executive and investment tracks will provide platforms for strategic partnerships, frontier solutions, and driving Nigeria’s digital economy forward.

Through the awareness initiative in Abuja, NITDA reaffirmed its dedication to fostering broad stakeholder engagement in shaping the nation’s digital future.
