NITDA mourns former President Buhari, describes him as a symbol of Integrity,National Rebirth

The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) led by the Director General,Dr Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi has joined President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigerian people, and the international community in mourning the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In an official condolence message released by the Management and Staff of the agency, NITDA described the late President as “a statesman of exceptional integrity, an embodiment of discipline, and a symbol of selfless service to the Nigerian people.”

The agency noted that Buhari’s leadership was rooted in principles of transparency, accountability, and national rebirth values that significantly influenced Nigeria’s progress across key sectors, including the digital economy.

“His unwavering commitment to good governance and public service laid the foundation for transformational change in our nation,” the statement read.

NITDA extended its heartfelt condolences to the former President’s family, the government, and all Nigerians, praying for the Almighty to grant his soul eternal rest and to comfort all who mourn his passing.

President Muhammadu Buhari, who served as Nigeria’s Head of State between 1983 and 1985, and later as democratically elected President from 2015 to 2023, passed away on Sunday 13th July ,2025 in a London hospital.
