The Group Chief Executive Officer of NNPC Limited, Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, on Wednesday received the President/CEO of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, and his delegation from Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals (DPRP) at the NNPC Towers, Abuja.
The high-level courtesy visit focused on exploring strategic areas of collaboration between the two major players in Nigeria’s energy sector, aimed at ensuring energy security and fostering sustainable economic growth for the country.
During the meeting, both leaders emphasized the importance of a healthy partnership and constructive competition between NNPC Ltd. and DPRP, described such synergy as vital for transforming the nation’s energy landscape.
Alhaji Dangote lauded the professionalism and industry expertise of the newly constituted NNPC Ltd. management team, expressed optimism about the team’s capacity to drive transformational change. He stressed the need for collaborative efforts that turn impossibilities into realities, particularly in critical sectors such as energy.
In his remarks, Mr. Ojulari commended Alhaji Dangote as a visionary and humble African business icon whose contributions have brought pride to the continent. He noted that since assuming office, he has encountered exceptional talent within NNPC Ltd., all of whom are dedicated to delivering excellence for Nigeria’s development.
Both Executives also agreed to serve as Relationship Managers for their respective organisations, ensuring continuous engagement and the pursuit of joint opportunities that benefit both companies and the nation.
The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to long-term partnership and productive dialogue between NNPC Ltd. and Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals.
