The Coalition of Northern Youth Forum of Nigeria has honoured the Chairman of the Independent Media and Policy Initiative (IMPI), Dr. Niyi Akinsiju, with an award of excellence and the title of “Jakadan Zaman Lafiya Najeriya” (Ambassador of Peace in Nigeria) in recognition of his contributions to nation-building.
Speaking at the award ceremony in Abuja, the group’s Chairman, Comrade Iliya Danladi, said Akinsiju was chosen for his resilience in promoting patriotism and nationalism, as well as his consistent engagement on socio-economic and political issues.
He noted that Akinsiju’s passion for national development is an example many Nigerian youths should emulate, recalling his days as a youth leader in the university.
In his response, Dr. Akinsiju commended the coalition for its role in empowering young people in Northern Nigeria, citing some of the impactful initiatives the forum had undertaken in recent .
