The National Productivity Centre (NPC) has pledged to collaborate with the Association of Corporate Online Editors (ACOE) to expand public awareness of its mandate and showcase its impact at both national and international levels.
The Director-General of NPC, Hon. Baffa Babba Dan-Agundi, disclosed this on Tuesday during a courtesy visit by ACOE to the Centre’s corporate headquarters in Abuja.
Dan-Agundi, who emphasized the need for developmental journalism, said the partnership would give greater visibility to NPC’s activities, which he noted have remained underreported despite their importance to national growth.
“You are most welcome. I am happy to have you. Working with your association in this capacity will really help us in projecting our image. I thank you for coming. We are ready to partner with you, and I can say you came at the right time,” the DG said.
He also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for stabilizing Nigeria’s economy, pointing to the clearance of debts owed to international airlines and improved access to foreign exchange as proof of the administration’s verifiable reforms.
Speaking earlier, Comrade Gbemiga Olamikan, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of ACOE, who represented the association’s Chairman, Comrade Sola Akingboye, said the visit was aimed at forging a mutually beneficial partnership.
According to him, ACOE recognized the potential of NPC’s initiatives and will leverage its expertise in digital communication to amplify the Centre’s successes, strengthen its online visibility, and support its role in promoting national productivity.
“The Centre can always count on us to use all available media platforms to amplify its impact and complement the good work under the current leadership,” Olamikan assured.
The NPC, a parastatal under the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment, was established to stimulate and promote productivity consciousness across all sectors of the Nigerian economy, monitor productivity trends, and lead the national productivity movement to build a competitive economy.
