Operatives of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC have arrested a suspected electricity equipment vandal in Suleja town of Niger State.
While parading the suspect at its office in Suleja, the Commander of the Suleja Area Office of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) disclosed that the suspected vandal was arrested at Gajiri area of Suleja where he was making an attempt to vandalise a transformer. He further disclosed that the suspect would be charged to court in Minna, the Niger State capital.
The NSCDC commander also appealed to members of the public to always alert security operatives about suspicious movements around electricity facilities, adding that citizens should also volunteer information about vandalism of public infrastructure in their neighbourhoods
