The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has reiterated its commitment to a more accountable and performance-driven public service as it participated in a capacity-building programme on the Performance Management System (PMS) organised for agencies under the Federal Ministry of Interior in Abuja.
Declaring the training open, the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, said the initiative is a central component of the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, designed to entrench efficiency, innovation, and measurable results across the public service. He emphasised that government institutions must now demonstrate discipline and deliver outcomes that translate into visible improvements in governance.
The National Public Relations Officer,CSC Babawale Afolabi, in a release said the training provided a strategic platform for the NSCDC to strengthen its internal systems and align more closely with the Minister’s reform blueprint. He noted that the Corps remain committed to fostering a unified performance culture that enhances coordination and service delivery within the Interior sector.
Underscoring this commitment, Deputy Commandants General heading the various directorates of the NSCDC signed a Performance Bond with the Commandant General, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, The agreement is aimed at reinforcing accountability, driving measurable output, and promoting continuous improvement across the Corps’ operational and administrative structures.
The NSCDC reaffirmed that it is fully aligned with the Interior Ministry’s transformation agenda and will continue to entrench professionalism, transparency, and a results-oriented work ethic that strengthens national security and enhances public trust.
