The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has strengthened its collaboration with the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) following a strategic visit by DICON’s Director-General, Major General Babatunde Ibrahim Alaya, to the NSCDC National Headquarters in Abuja.
The meeting focused on deepening synergy in key operational areas, including the training of personnel, provision of mission-critical equipment, and the design of hardware to meet evolving security challenges.
Commandant General of the NSCDC, Professor Ahmed Abubakar Audi, reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to boosting Nigeria’s internal security through enhanced inter-agency cooperation and the utilization of locally developed solutions.
“We are committed to leveraging indigenous capabilities and strengthening partnerships that will help us address present and emerging security threats effectively,” Audi said.
Both agencies expressed optimism about the mutual benefits of the collaboration, particularly in innovation, capacity building, and operational efficiency.
The engagement marked a renewed phase in the NSCDC’s drive to improve national security through purposeful, strategic alliances.
