The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has pledged to partner with the Policy Innovation Centre, an affiliate of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG), to ensure the success of the forthcoming 4th Gender Inclusion Summit.

This was disclosed in a statement by CSC Babawale Zaid Afolabi, National PRO of the NSCDC, following an advocacy visit by a delegation from the Centre to the Corps’ headquarters in Abuja.
Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, who received the team, reiterated his administration’s commitment to gender inclusion, stressing that the Corps has provided opportunities for women to compete favourably with their male counterparts by occupying key strategic positions. Prof. Audi, a professor of Gender and Security Studies, further pledged to share his expertise on gender participation as enshrined in Security Sector Reform.
Earlier, Executive Director of the Policy Innovation Centre, Dr. Osasuyi Dirisu, represented by Mr. Akinwumi Akinola, explained that the visit was to seek collaboration with critical stakeholders, noting that the NSCDC’s involvement would significantly boost the success of the summit.
The 4th Gender Inclusion Summit is expected to convene stakeholders from across sectors to drive inclusive policies and strengthen gender-balanced participation in national development.
