The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Correspondents’ Chapel, has congratulated its former Assistant Secretary, Sharon Emephia, on her election as Assistant Secretary in the recently concluded NUJ FCT Council elections.
The Chapel, in a congratulatory message signed by its Vice Chairman, Felix Ojo, described Sharon’s emergence as a reflection of her unwavering dedication to service, her outstanding contributions to the union, and her steadfast commitment to the ideals of journalism.
“We are proud of Sharon’s accomplishments and her continued rise within the leadership structure of the NUJ. Her election as Assistant Secretary of the NUJ FCT Council is not only well-deserved but also a testament to her hard work, resilience, and passion for the profession,” the statement said.
The Correspondents’ Chapel noted that Sharon’s tenure as its Assistant Secretary was marked by diligence, innovation, and exemplary service — qualities it believes she will bring to bear in her new position at the Council level.
The Chapel expressed confidence in her ability to further promote the interests of journalists and contribute to the advancement of the union.
“We pray for God’s guidance and protection for her as she embarks on this new phase of leadership,” the statement added.
