NUJ FCT Council celebrates Hon Muktar Aliyu Betara at 59

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory Council, has extended warm felicitations to Rt. Hon. Muktar Aliyu Betara on the occasion of his 59th birthday.

In a congratulatory message issued by the Chairman of the Council, Comrade Grace Ike, the Union described Hon. Betara Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on the Federal Capital Territory as a symbol of resilience, humility, and dedicated public service.

Comrade Ike noted that Hon. Betara’s journey, from obtaining diplomas in Business Administration and Accountancy to representing Biu, Kwaya Kusar, Bayo, and Shani Federal Constituency since 2007, reflects a career defined by unwavering commitment to development, unity, and national progress.

She highlighted that under his leadership, the Federal Capital Territory has recorded significant improvements in infrastructural development and budgetary interventions that continue to enhance the quality of life for residents of Abuja.

Hon. Betara’s philanthropic efforts including the provision of medical equipment, youth and women empowerment programmes, support for vulnerable groups, and facilitation of key community projects such as health centres, street lighting, ambulances, and sporting facilities were also commended as evidence of his compassion and focus on tangible impact.

“As Hon. Betara marks this milestone, we celebrate a legacy of selfless leadership and bridge-building that continues to inspire his constituents and colleagues,” the statement read.

The NUJ FCT Council wished the lawmaker continued good health, wisdom, and strength as he continues his service to the nation.
