NUJ FCT Council hails former Chairman Malachi Uzendu on Call to Bar

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council, has congratulated its former Chairman, Barrister Malachi Uzendu, on his graduation from the Nigerian Law School and his formal call to the Bar.

 

In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, Secretary of the Council, Comrade Jide Oyekunle, described Uzendu’s feat as a remarkable milestone that reflected resilience, determination, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.

 

The Council noted that Uzendu’s transition into the legal profession was a source of pride not only to him but also to the journalism fraternity, recalling his years of commitment to quality journalism, leadership, and service to humanity.

 

“Barrister Uzendu has always upheld the values of fairness, justice, and integrity. We are confident that these principles, which guided his career as a journalist and union leader, will continue to shape his practice in the legal profession,” the statement read in part.

 

The NUJ FCT Council wished him continued success and fulfillment in his legal career while expressing optimism that his contributions would strengthen both the media and justice sectors in Nigeria.
