The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Mrs. Temidayo Fateman, wife of Mr. Emmanuel Fateman, a journalist with Inside Source Magazine.
Mrs. Fateman passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Alliance Hospital, Garki, Abuja, after a brief illness. She was 41 years old.
In a statement issued on Thursday by the Council’s Secretary, Comrade Jide Oyekunle, the NUJ described the late Temidayo as a woman of humility, dedication, and compassion, whose life was an inspiration to many.
“Words alone cannot express the sorrow we feel for your loss. We hope you find comfort in the love and support of those around you,” the statement read.
The NUJ further described Mrs. Fateman as a “shining star and role model to the younger generation,” emphasizing the shock and pain felt by the union over her untimely passing.
Her death, the statement noted, comes at a time when the NUJ is still recovering from the losses of other members and their loved ones.
The Council extended its condolences to Mr. Fateman, their two children, and the entire family, assured them of the union’s support during this difficult time.
Born in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Mrs. Fateman left behind her husband, two children, and a legacy of love and service to humanity.
The family is expected to announce burial arrangements in due course.
