The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden death of the wife of the Chairman of the NUJ National Assembly (NASS) Chapel, Abdulkadir Sarafadeen.
In a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja and signed by the Secretary of the Council, Comrade Jide Oyekunle, the union described the loss as painful and heartbreaking, not only for Sarafadeen and his family but also for the entire NUJ family in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The council noted that the news of the death came as a shock, stressed that although death is inevitable, it is always difficult to bear, particularly when it involves a loved one.
According to the statement, the NUJ FCT Council extended its heartfelt condolences to Abdulkadir Sarafadeen, his family, friends and colleagues at the NASS Chapel over the tragic loss.
The council prayed that Almighty God would grant them the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and also prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased.
It further assured the NASS Chapel Chairman of the council’s solidarity and support during the difficult period, urged him to remain strong and take solace in the memories shared with his late wife.
