The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) FCT Council has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Zainab Adeiza, the wife of its National Vice President, Zone D, Alhaji Adeiza Momoh Jimoh.
Zainab reportedly passed away on Wednesday morning in Okene, Kogi State, and was buried the same day in accordance with Islamic rites.
In a statement released on Friday in Abuja by the Council Secretary, Comrade Jide Oyekunle, the NUJ FCT Council described Zainab as a virtuous woman whose contributions to her community and family will be dearly missed.
“The NUJ FCT Council is deeply saddened to hear about the passing of your beloved wife, Zainab Adeiza .
“Please accept our heartfelt condolences during this incredibly difficult time.”the statement read.
The statement further highlighted the impact of the late Zainab’s life, noting, “She was not only a wonderful wife but also a source of support and inspiration to younger generations and many others. Words cannot express the sorrow we feel for your loss. Her memory will forever remain in our hearts.”
Alhaji Adeiza Momoh Jimoh recently represented the National President of the Union at the December 4, 2024, NUJ FCT Council elections, alongside Zonal Secretary Mohammed Bala Dauda.
The Council urged the bereaved family to take solace in the outpouring of love and support from colleagues and friends, hoping it would provide strength during this trying period.
