The National Youth Service Corps has paid the death benefit of late Corps Member Juliana Osochenemi Azakaza DT/16B/6364 to her Next of Kin in Delta State.
Late Juliana Azakaza, who was a mother of one, until her demise was a serving Corps Member in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.
Speaking on behalf of the NYSC Director General, Brigadier General YD Ahmed, the Director, Corps Welfare and Health Services, Mr Ayodele Omotade during the handing over of the death benefit to the Next of Kin, Mr Azakaza Onajite, he commiserated with the family of the deceased Corps Member.
He reiterated that the welfare and security of Corps Members remained a top priority of his administration.
In his response, the Next of Kin to the deceased, Mr Azakaza Onajite, thanked the NYSC Director General and Management for identifying with his family in their moment of grief.
Earlier, the NYSC Delta State Coordinator, Mr Alao Olusegun thanked the Director General and Management for identifying with the family of the deceased Corps Member.
Similarly, the DG’s representative also met with heads of branches and units at the Secretariat, in an interactive session where he sensitized and cleared their views on some issues concerning the operations of the Scheme.
In attendance during the visit were the Director, South-South Area Office, Asaba, Alhaji Baba Ladan represented by the Deputy Director Operations, Mr Christopher Okun, Assistant Directors and Head of Corps Welfare and Health Services Branch, Mr. Wellington Okun.
