NYSC DG Decorates Aides with New Military Ranks

The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General Y.D. Ahmed, has decorated two of his military aides with new ranks following their promotion by the Nigerian Army Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Promotion Board.
The newly promoted officers are Master Warrant Officer Dada Patrick Bunmi, who serves as the DG’s Personal Assistant, and Sergeant Nazifi Hamisu, the DG’s Military Orderly.
The decoration ceremony, held at the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters in Maitama, Abuja, was attended by members of the NYSC top management, military personnel, and other officials.
Speaking during the event, Brigadier General Ahmed commended the officers for their dedication, perseverance, and loyalty, which he noted were instrumental in their promotion. He encouraged them to remain industrious and to uphold the trust placed in them by the military authorities.
“Their diligence and sincerity have brought them this far, and I urge them to continue demonstrating these qualities in their service to the nation,” the DG said.
The colourful ceremony marked another milestone in the careers of the two officers, as they pledged to rededicate themselves to their duties in their new roles.
Master Warrant Officer Dada and Sergeant Hamisu were part of the recent successful candidates in the Nigerian Army Senior Non-Commissioned Officers Promotion Board, earning their respective promotions from Warrant Officer and Corporal.
