NYSC DG felicitates with Corps Members, staff, other Nigerians ….As world commemorates resurrection of Christ

The Director-General National Youth Service Corps, Brig Gen Shuaibu Ibrahim and Management has felicitated with staff and Corps Members including other Nigerians as Christendom commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ today.

“It is gratifying to note that the life of Christ, anchored on humility; unconditional and sacrificial love; as well as service to humanity embodies the motto of the Scheme.”

“In the light of the challenges that the Nation is passing through, the season of Easter calls for sober reflection, self appraisal and renewal of lifestyle, in line with Christ’s, who has charged us to love our neighbours as we love ourselves.”

“Therefore, Management charges you to recommit yourselves to the ideals of the National Youth Service Corps, putting the interest of the Nation first in all that you do; rendering selfless service to Nigeria and humanity; personal development and emancipation from the clutches of tribalism and corruption-the twin vices that we must defeat.”

“The entire globe is waging a relentless battle against a formidable enemy, COVID-19, which no doubt you have keyed into. Management charges you to use this period to offer fervent prayers to God for Him to grant us victory against the pandemic, in addition to the restoration of our country on the path of peace and progress.”

“As we earnestly look up to the Almighty God for help, Management wishes to reassure all Corps Members once more that the allowances for the months of March and April shall be paid to everyone, without recourse to the monthly clearance which has been stood down for two months—March and April.”

“You are all enjoined to stay calm, stay safe, observe all the safety precautions given from time to time by the National Centre for Disease Control and always stay tuned to our traditional and new media platforms.”

“This great day offers us renewed hope. Doubtlessly, Nigeria and indeed the globe shall rise from the ashes of the pandemic to become a better world.”

“Happy Easter.” the statement read.
