The NYSC Management has been reacted to an advertisement trending in the social media sponsored by khaki_corper requesting Prospective Corps Members to pay #50,000 for some listed items which they will need in camp.
NYSC in a release signed by Eddy Megwa, Director Press and Public Relations dissociated itself from such advert which it said was conceived as another attempt by some individuals to rip parents and their wards mobilized for service of their hard earned money.
“We once again seize this opportunity to inform our prospective Corps Members and their parents that all required kit items, feeding, accommodation and other welfare packages required during orientation are provided free of charge by the Federal Government. Corps Members are therefore NOT required to pay for services or uniforms which will be provided in the Orientation Camps. Please be guided”NYSC stated.
