السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
We pray to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala to accept our good deeds، forgive us our shortcomings and make these days of Eid, days of happiness and good tidings، and protect us from all kind of trial e.g Coronavirus and other calamities faced by our generation.
The days of Eid as said by our Model Prophet Muhammad (Sala Allahu alaihi wa Sallam )، are days of eating, drinking and worshiping of Allah Suhanahu Wa Ta’la.
So, regardless to all what is happening around us now ,we shoud celebrate and enjoy these blessed days at home with our families and comunicate with our relations,neighbors and friends as it is the Sunnah of our beloved Prophet Muhammad ( Sallal Allahu alaihi wa Sallam).
We are also commanded to pay Zakatul Fitr which is to be paid by the head of the family for himself and the members of his family.
The amount of Zakatul Fitr is one Saa. صاع which is equal to 4 Mudu (3 kilograms) of grains ( rice, beans, corn, etc )
for each person.
It is to be given to the the needy and poor.
The time of its payment is from Maghrib of the last day of Ramadan .May Allah enable us do the needful with our Zakat Fitr to ameliorate the present situation faced with many family in our community as such let’s try include Cash as Ihsan to our Zakat to enable beneficiaries buy what to use in cooking the rice.
