The Customs Area Controller of the FCT Area Command, Comptroller Olu Emmanuel Adebisi, on Monday, 16th December 2024, hosted His Imperial Majesty, Oba Dr. Adeyeye Enitan Babatunde Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, at the Command’s office complex located off Bill Clinton Drive, Airport Road, Abuja.
The Ooni’s visit was part of a familiarization tour to acknowledge and encourage the achievements of prominent Nigerians serving in key roles. The revered monarch expressed his gratitude for the warm reception extended to him and praised Comptroller Adebisi for his outstanding performance and contributions to the Nigeria Customs Service.
“The purpose of my visit is to see how one of our sons is faring, and I must say I am impressed with his remarkable achievements and dedication to service,” the Ooni stated.
In response, Comptroller Adebisi appreciated the Ooni for the honor of the visit, describing it as a morale booster for himself, the officers, and the men of the Command. He encouraged other traditional leaders to emulate the Ooni’s gesture by visiting and supporting their sons and daughters serving the nation.
The Ooni of Ife concluded his visit by offering royal blessings to the Comptroller and his team. He urged all officers and men of the FCT Command to remain diligent in carrying out their statutory duties for the greater good of the country.
