OUB Foundation to host Post-Ramadan Lecture on Islamic Leadership in Ibadan

The Ololade Usman Bakare (OUB) Foundation has announced plans to host a Post-Ramadan lecture in Ibadan, aimed at reinforcing the spiritual and moral lessons of the holy month of Ramadan.

The founder of the foundation, Dr. Ololade Usman Bakare, disclosed that the event is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the Indoor Sports Hall of Liberty Stadium, Ibadan.

Speaking with journalists, Bakare extended an open invitation to members of the Muslim Ummah and residents of Oyo State to attend the lecture.

Bakare, who is also a leading gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), emphasized that the lecture is designed to educate and enlighten participants on the need to sustain the virtues of Ramadan, including discipline, sacrifice, and devotion to faith.

According to the programme lineup, four prominent scholars and public figures will serve as discussants at the event. They include Shaykh AbdulRahman Ahmad, Professor Abideen Olaiya, Honourable Abdulhakeem Abdulateef, and Imam Mudathir Atanda Bada. The speakers are expected to deliberate on the theme, “Politics and Leadership in Islam.”

The event will also attract notable dignitaries. The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, will serve as the Royal Father of the Day, while Sheikh Abdul-Ganiy Agbotomokekere has been designated as the Spiritual Father of the Day.

In addition, Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle will attend as the Father of the Day, with former First Lady of Oyo State, Chief Mrs. Florence Ajimobi, serving as the Mother of the Day.

The lecture is expected to draw a wide audience, including religious leaders, political stakeholders, and members of the public, as discussions center on the intersection of faith, governance, and leadership within the Islamic perspective.
