The leadership of Pan African Youth Parliament has expressed their excitement for the appointment of the group’s mentor and 2017 African Leadership Award recipient, ACP Remi Adeoye who was recently elevated to the position of Police Coordinator, African Union Commission, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The Youth organisation in a statement signed by Ambassador Obinna Sixtus Nwoke, Global Presiden, and Najma Abdi Ahmed, Global Deputy President, said it has benefited from mentorship and support services rendered by ACP Adeoye.
“We are grateful to Nigeria Police Force for the confidence it reposed in Him and the IGP for his support.
And also grateful to African Union for founding him worthy.” the group said.
The group further prayed that God will continue to bless Adeoye and his family.
ACP Remi Adeoye has since assumed office as Police Coordinator for African Union Commission on the 1st December, 2017.
The position is the highest Police ranking in the organogram of the AU Commission. His responsibilities includes providing strategic guidance for police components in all AU Peace Support Operations and Special Operations and that all AU Missions.
