In a gesture of goodwill, the National President of the Professional Drivers on Wheel (PDOW), Comrade Adams Ehigiemusoe, popularly known as ‘Shaba,’ has praised Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for facilitating the resumption of the Union’s activities in the state.
Speaking at the Union’s headquarters on Siluko Road, Benin City, Comrade Shaba distributed over 500 bags of 10KG rice and cow meat to commercial bus drivers to help them celebrate the New Year. He expressed his commitment to the welfare of the drivers, emphasizing that this annual tradition is a way to give back to the foundation of his leadership.
“Every year, I ensure that these drivers receive gifts to celebrate the New Year. I deeply appreciate Governor Monday Okpebholo for enabling the Union’s return to active service in Edo State. My drivers are my foundation, and it brings me joy to share with them,” Shaba said.
The drivers, including Umukoro Solomon, Monday Oyenchi, and Abuchi Okpara, commended Comrade Shaba’s philanthropic efforts. They highlighted the positive impact of his support, noting that the distribution of rice and cow meat significantly enhances their New Year festivities and reflects his capable leadership.
This act of generosity underscored Comrade Shaba’s dedication to the drivers and his resolve to continue supporting them, reinforcing his commitment to their well-being as the Union move forward.
