The Presidency has dismissed as false reports circulating on social media claiming that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has replaced the Chief of Staff, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, described the claim as a fabrication by purveyors of fake news aimed at creating disaffection within the government.
According to the statement, there has been no change in the leadership structure at the State House, stressed that Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila remains the Chief of Staff to the President.
It also clarified that the Principal Private Secretary to the President, Mr. Hakeem Muri-Okunola, continue to serve in his current capacity and has not replaced Gbajabiamila in any form.
“The viral claim is entirely false and should be disregarded,” the Presidency stated, warning against the spread of unverified information.
The Presidency further urged media organisations and members of the public to always verify information from credible sources before publishing or sharing on social media.
