The Administrative Proceedings Committee (APC) of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has been described as a key mechanism for enhancing the ease of doing business in Nigeria.
The Registrar-General and CEO of CAC, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, stated this on Tuesday while receiving the Personal Assistant to the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Constituency Affairs, Hon. Kareem Khadijat Omotayo, during a courtesy visit to his office.
Magaji emphasized that the APC provided a structured platform for resolving entity disputes efficiently, ensuring business sustainability and economic growth. He encouraged Honourable Kareem Khadijat to raise awareness among clubs, associations, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) about the APC’s role, aligning with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He further noted that individuals or organizations with grievances related to their registered entities could seek redress through the APC, avoiding prolonged litigation that could hinder business operations.
Speaking on Honourable Kareem Khadijat’s empowerment initiative for widows of fallen military personnel, the CAC boss urged her to leverage the Commission’s discounted bulk registration for small businesses. He emphasized that formalizing these businesses would provide greater economic stability and growth opportunities for the beneficiaries.
Earlier, Honourable Kareem Khadijat Omotayo stated that her initiative was inspired by the resilience and sacrifices of military widows and their families. She explained that the Widow Empowerment Program aimed to equip 10,000 widows nationwide with education, self-sufficiency skills, and psychological support.
She reaffirmed her commitment to collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the program’s success, positively transforming the lives of the widows and their families.
