The Police Service Commission (PSC) has cautioned Nigerians, particularly youths interested in joining the Nigeria Police Force, against falling victim to fraudulent online recruitment advertisements.
In a statement issued on Saturday, August 30, 2025, the Head of Press and Public Relations of the Commission, Mr. Ikechukwu Ani, said the Commission has not yet commenced the 2025 recruitment exercise. He stressed that any online advertorial currently in circulation is fake, fictitious, and diversionary.
Ani urged prospective applicants to disregard such publications, reiterating that the recruitment exercise will only be announced officially by the Commission when due. He emphasized that PSC remains committed to conducting a credible, transparent, and equitable recruitment process once arrangements are concluded.
“For the umpteenth time, the Commission wishes to warn these disgruntled characters to stay away from this dubious pastime and allow the Commission to run the exercise in a manner devoid of unnecessary interference,” the statement read.
The Commission appealed to Nigerian youths to exercise patience, assured that the authentic recruitment process will soon commence and will be widely publicized through official PSC channels.
