The Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate (PTAD) on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, launched its revised Service Charter themed “A Renewed Commitment to Service Excellence” at its headquarters in Abuja. The initiative reaffirms the Directorate’s dedication to transparency, accountability, and excellence in managing the Defined Benefit Pension Scheme (DBS).
The event was attended by the Minister of State for Finance, Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite, CFA, the Director-General of the National Pension Commission (PenCom), Ms. Omolola Oloworaran, as well as representatives of SERVICOM, the Public Complaints Commission (PCC), and pension unions.
Dr. Uzoka-Anite, in her remarks, commended PTAD for setting new benchmarks in public service delivery, stressing that pensioners deserve consistent dignity and welfare support. She described the revised Service Charter as a vital tool to build trust between pensioners and government institutions.
PTAD Executive Secretary, Tolulope Odunaiya, said the charter represented more than a policy document. “It is a covenant with our pensioners and stakeholders,” she noted, emphasizing PTAD’s commitment to clear service standards, innovation, and professional delivery with empathy.
In her goodwill message, PenCom DG, Ms. Omolola Oloworaran, lauded PTAD’s collaborative spirit, noting that the charter strengthens transparency and complements PenCom’s mandate to safeguard pension assets and ensure system sustainability.
Other goodwill messages from SERVICOM, PCC, and pension unions praised PTAD’s reforms while urging the Directorate to remain resolute in upholding its commitments to pensioners.
