The Steering Committee of the Proposed Rahma University and El-Birru Muslim Association of Nigeria (EMAN) mourned the loss of Prof. Nuhu Yaqub, a distinguished academic and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Abuja, who passed away on January 4, 2025, in Abuja.
Prof. Yaqub, a key figure in the establishment of Rahma University in Kogi State, was highly regarded for his contributions to academia and his efforts in promoting peace and reconciliation.
His passing has left a profound impact on the academic community and the Muslim Ummah. The funeral prayer is set to take place at the National Mosque in Abuja, with members of the community encouraged to attend. Prayers have been offered for his forgiveness, mercy, and eternal peace in Jannatul-Firdaus, as well as for strength and comfort for his grieving family.
