The Chairman BUA companies, Alhaji Abdulsamad Isyaku Rabiu has assured the Nigerians that his company have provided enough commodities that would cater for all Northern states during and after Ramadan period aimed at alleviating the hardship faced by many Nigerians.
Alhaji Rabiu who was represented by his representative in the Northern region, Alhaji Mohammad Adakawa stated this during an interview with journalists in Kano.
Adakawa who is a renowned business man at Singer market Kano ,said BUA group of companies had produced tonnes of Sugar, Spaghetti, flour and other BUA products which had already arrived Kano and other states of the federation geared towards addressing the menace of hike in price especially during festivities periods.
“I’m assuring you that the stock we have will be enough for all Northern states, we have tonnes of Sugar in Sharada that will be enough for Kano, Kebbi,Jigawa, Yobe, Maiduguri,zamfara ,Katsina and all Northern states in general,And BUA has assured that he will not increase the price of his commodities during after Ramadan period”Adakawa said.
Alhaji Mohammad Adakawa further stated that the Chairman BUA companies had directed that any of his dealers found increasing the price of his commodities is bound to loose his license.
“Most people are not aware of the root causes of hike in price during Ramadan, in most cases companies are those that increase the price from the source ,but with this development by BUA group of companies I’m sure that this year we’ll not witness hike in price of commodities”he added.
He appealed to federal government to expedite action in reducing tax duties for importers aimed at addressing the hike on the price of imported commodities.
Alhaji Mohammad Adakawa applauded the commitment of Kano state Government,under the stewardship of Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje Khadimul Islam for carrying the business Community along geared towards uplifting the economic status of the state.
” I’m appealing to our listening Governor to buy commodities during Ramadan from our members in Singa market,so that there morale will be boosted and there economic strength will be enhanced,
“Our Governor is doing very well in terms of helping the vulnerable and needy during Ramadan ,I’m praying to Almighty Allah to reward Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje Khadimul Islam Abundantly for his endless efforts in alliviating the suffering of the masses” he further stated.
