The Nigeria Union of Journalist NUJ,FCT council today in a statement signed by the its Chairman,Emmanuel Ogbeche has felicitated with Muslim colleagues and other faithful around the world on the commencement of the 1441 AH (2020) Ramadan fasting.
Ogbeche also urged journalists to stay vigilant and observe all the health protocols in place against the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said:
“Dear Muslim Colleagues,
As you embark on this spiritual journey of piety, sacrifice and self-denial, the executive and members of our council wish you the grace and strength of the Almighty Allah to see you through.”
“We urge you to use this period as one of prayer and sober reflection for our families, profession and country at large. Without a doubt, you are aware of the peculiar nature of the times, therefore, it is a task on you to solicit the immeasurable mercy and blessings of Allah the Merciful.”
“Also, be reminded to stay vigilant and observe all the health protocols in place against the Covid-19 pandemic for your good, family and all of us.
Ramadan Mubarak.”
