Bro. Idris Ismail– a teacher and an Orator, while talking on the topic- CHILD FUTURE PLANS: WHERE TO INVEST on the program Talk Islam alongside the presenter Abdurasaq Olayode aka philosopher king on Jordan 93.9 FM said the religious leaders are the custodian of values and as such they must set good examples and not be nuisance to the community. They must be models worthy of emulation to the children that comes to the religious house. And they must also have a section with the children and not focus only on the adults etc.
“When a man dies, his action discontinues from him except three things, namely, perpetual sadaqah (charity), or the knowledge by which benefit is acquired, or a pious child who prays for him.” [Sunan Abi Dawud]”.
In respect to the above stated Hadith, Brother Idris mentioned that there are guiding principles a parent needs to invest in a child, which are;
1. The Character make up of the child. He said “character makes a man”.
2. Quality education.
3. Religious understanding.
4. Patriotism.
5. Quality food etc.

also said that parents should try as much as possible to balance the education between the male and female child. They should also try to place premium on female child just the way the parents of the Late flight Tolulope Arotile did.
