On this day Six (6) years ago Our Shaykh Muhammad Amīn (RTA) Journeyed to the world beyond. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajiun!!

Shaykh Muhammad Amin (RTA) was a great scholar that possessed a superb memory.
He graduated with First Class Honors in Ulumul- Hadith (The Science of Hadith) in 1988. Though he studied Ulumul-Hadith, he was also a master of other branches of Islamic Knowledge such as Nahwu, Tafsir, Fiqh, Lugga, Balaga, mantic, seera among others.

The death of a scholar
Abdullah bin Amr b. al-As reported Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) as saying:
.
Verily, Allah does not take away knowledge by removing it from the people but He takes away knowledge by taking away the scholars, so that when He leaves no scholar, people turn to the ignorant as their leaders; then they are asked to deliver fatwa and they deliver them without knowledge, so they go astray, and lead others astray. (Bukhari and Muslim)

In this hadith we can see the Prophet (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) is talking about the death of scholars. Of course they cannot live forever, and Allah Almighty said to him:
.
Surely, you will die and they too will surely die. (39:30)
.
No one knows when it will be his time to leave this world. But the Prophet (peace be on him) was confirming that the loss of a scholar is a huge loss which in the case of Shaykh is glaring to us.

Imam Al-Hasan Al-Basri, who was a tabi’ee, said:
.
The death of a scholar is a loss that cannot be replaced for as long as the day and night alternate. ( Imam Ahmed in his book (Al-Zuhd), and Bayhaqi in Shu’ab al-Imān)

Sheik Amin’s influence on the Youth cannot be overlook. He taught the Youth pristine Islamic Knowledge, the etiquette of disagreement in Islam, comparative analysis of Muslim Societies, Da’awa Methodology, Tafsir, Tasawuf, Hadith, the love of the Prophet, humility and forgiveness.
Sheik Amin is greatly missed in Ebiraland and beyond.

The superiority of the learned man over the devout is like that of the moon, on the night when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The scholars are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets leave neither dinar nor dirham, leaving only knowledge, and he who takes it takes an abundant portion. (Abu Dawud)
Maulana Shaykh Amin is undoubtedly knowledgeable, he is also a devotee who spent most of his time in worshipping Allah sincerely.

On Thursday 25-05-2017 we lost one of the great scholars of our Ummah, Shaykh Muhammad Amin (RTA) who was a great Muhaddith and Muffassir and Murabbi.

May Allah grant him more nuur in his grave and reunite us in Janatul-Firdaus.
