On Sunday, 15 February 2026, the sanctuary of the , Wuse District Headquarters, Abuja, was filled with reverence and spiritual expectancy during a deeply impactful service themed “Divine Honour and Dignity.” The atmosphere, enriched by heartfelt worship from the choir, reflected a congregation united in renewal and aligned with a prophetic mandate: “Equipping the Church in the Decade of Soaring.”
Ministering at the service was , Zonal Superintendent of the Wuse District Headquarters. He delivered a stirring, Scripture-rooted message outlining a strategic spiritual direction for the church in the years ahead.
Declaring that the vision would encounter challenges but not defeat, Rev. Adebisi assured the congregation that God would go ahead of them. He emphasized that resistance is inevitable when pursuing divine purpose, yet victory is certain when God leads the way.
Anchoring his message in Ephesians 4:1–16, he explained that soaring is intentional, not accidental. It is the product of spiritual equipping, maturity, unity, and disciplined growth within the Body of Christ.
Expounding verse 12, “For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ”, he described equipping as systematic training. Just as institutions prepare students for professional competence, the Church must prepare believers for exploits, promotion, and impactful service.
Referencing verse 16, which describes the Body as “fitly joined together,” he highlighted workforce development in ministry. Every member must discover and deploy their spiritual gifts. Strength, structure, spiritual maturity, and strategic collaboration, he noted, are prerequisites for soaring.
Drawing from 2 Kings 3:17, Rev. Adebisi underscored the necessity of faith-driven obedience. Though Israel saw no wind or rain, they were instructed to dig ditches in expectation of divine provision. Likewise, the Church must act in faith, expanding outreach, embracing missions, and boldly engaging in evangelism, even when visible signs seem absent.
Quoting Psalm 78:4, he stressed generational continuity. The Church must invest intentionally in children, teenagers, and youth through mentorship, Christian education, character formation, seminars, workshops, and conferences to secure the future of divine honour and dignity.
From Philippians 4:16, he emphasized collaboration among church arms. No department—whether choir, ushers, evangelism teams, youth, or leadership, should function in isolation. Soaring, he affirmed, is corporate before it becomes personal.
He described the decade of soaring as one marked by outreach beyond national borders, cultural understanding within the Church, spiritual maturity in the Word, strengthened prayer life, and the creation of platforms for members to exercise their gifts. The ultimate goal is Christlikeness, raising believers who are prayerful, productive, and purposeful.
Throughout the message, the theme of Divine Honour and Dignity remained central. Honour flows from alignment with divine purpose, faithful service, spiritual growth, and unity. Dignity is restored when believers understand their identity in Christ and function effectively within His Body.
The service concluded with fervent prayers and renewed commitment. Worshippers departed with clarity of vision and a strengthened resolve to embrace equipping, faith, and collaboration. At Wuse District Headquarters, Abuja, the Church has set its compass toward altitude and with God going ahead, the horizon indeed appears limitless.
