Rivers Crisis: Gov Fubara releasing criminals from prison over fear police will truncate his ambition

Facts emerging from Rivers State as the political crisis continue to rage on indicated that Governor Siminalayi Fubara has released criminals to help him quell any form of opposition, using brute force.

This development is cropping few hours after the state electoral body announced a guideline for local government elections.

Apparently scared of the fact that he’s not popular, he moved prisoners facing various jail terms in Rivers State to help him.

A source privy to this development who spoke under the condition of anonymity disclosed that most of the released prisoners are men that at various times tormented Rivers people.

“If Fubara as number one citizen of our state is working against the police force what is the hope of the ordinary man, he wondered.

“They’re moving from one local government to the other to pick the criminals to aid Fubara fight against the people and police.
