No election took place in Obio/Akpor Ward 5 in Rivers State in the stage managed Local Government polls of last Saturday.
Recall that there was a Federal High Court Abuja judgement restricting the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalaye Fubara not conduct any LG election on October 5.
Despite this verdict, the Governor went ahead to conduct the election with empty wards and units.
RSIEC still declared APP winner of the stage managed election.
As captured in a sighted video, Ward 5 is the House of Representatives Minority Caucus Leader, Rep Kingsley Chinda’s Ward.
The video clearly depicted ghost like units and even the Collation Centre looked like an abandoned house in broad daylight.
Recall condemnations had trailed the ugly development as many credible CSOs had declared that the entire electoral process lacked credibility.
The People’s Advocate, an amalgam of CSOs in its report described charade as weak and not credible.
