The President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has commiserated with the Governor of Kogi State, Ahmed Usman Ododo, over the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Sani Ododo.
In a condolence message issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Hon. Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio described the late Ododo as a devout Muslim, a caring and supportive father, and a strict disciplinarian whose legacies would endure.
The Senate President said the death was not only a loss to the Ododo family but also to the entire people of Kogi State. He urged the governor and his family to accept the passing of their patriarch as the will of Allah.
“On behalf of my family, constituents, the 10th Senate and the entire National Assembly, I share in the pain of this irreparable loss,” Akpabio stated.
He prayed for Allah’s forgiveness of the deceased’s shortcomings and for Alhaji Ododo to be granted Al Jannatul Firdaus, while also asking Allah to grant the family strength to bear the loss.
