The Nigeria Senate has passed President Muhammadu Buhari’s Finance Bill 2020 transmitted to the National Assembly two weeks ago for consideration and passage. The passage of the bill was sequel to the consideration of a report by the Senate Joint Committee on Finance; Customs, Excise & Tariff; Trade and Investment; and Public Procurement. Buhari seeks Senate approval for Finance Bill 2020

The Senate on Tuesday received a transmission of the Finance bill 2020 from President Muhammadu Buhari, for consideration and passage into law in support of the 2021 budget before the National Assembly. The transmission of the bill was accompanied by a letter dated 25th November, 2020, and read during plenary by the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.
