You don’t need to climb the tower to preach Allah’s words, your deeds and sayings are enough to catapult God’s words. There exist many verses about kindness to animals in the Quran and these have been preached repeatedly but none has penetrated the hearts of many like the action of this imam who allowed a cat to rest on his shoulder and even kissed him on the cheek while performing tarawih.
A live broadcast showed the heart-warming moment a cat interrupted an imam in Algeria as he was leading Ramadan prayers in a mosque earlier this week.
The video shared by media outlets and on social media, showed the cat climbing on top of Imam Walid Mehsas’s shoulders as he was performing Tarawih prayers, which Muslims perform every night during the holy month of Ramadan.
Allahu Akbar! The sight was so heartwarming and alluring. That was Islam preached in unimaginable splendour. The man has reached millions through this act, his act has become an internet sensation with TV stations having the clips on remote play all over the world.
This is a simple attestation that you don’t have to use human power to make God awesome, he manifests his awesomeness in the simple and kindest ways -just like the Algerian Imam who just preached Islam to the world using simple human disposition. The hadith wasn’t wrong when it defined itself as the ‘saying and doing of the prophet. You can’t say and do as the prophet and not be godly.
