The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited—NNPCL has said that there is no plan to increase the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit—PMS.
The clarification is coming after it was reported in some section of the media that petrol price could be sold for N750 following the increase in dollar rate.
Also, organized labour unions threatened indefinite strike action over the rumoured increase.
But NNPCL in a short statement posted on its X (Twitter) official handle yesterday night, said it had no intention to increase the pump price of petrol.
It said, “Dear esteemed customers, we at NNPCL Retail value your patronage, and we do not have the intention to increase our PMS pump prices as widely speculated.
“Please buy the best quality products at the most affordable prices at our NNPCL Retail stations nationwide”.
