Tinubu hails Akpabio at 63, praises his decades of exceptional leadership

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, on the occasion of his 63rd birthday, describing him as “a patriot and a dedicated servant of the people.”

In a statement on Tuesday, President Tinubu said Senator Akpabio has demonstrated unwavering commitment to nation-building throughout his public service career.

The President noted that Akpabio’s tenure as the “uncommon governor” of Akwa Ibom State marked a major transformation of the state, citing his investments in infrastructure and the development of one of Nigeria’s most iconic stadiums.

From his transition to the Senate and subsequent role as Minister of the Niger Delta, President Tinubu said Akpabio consistently prioritised regional development and national progress.

Now presiding over the 10th Senate, Akpabio continues to strengthen executive–legislative harmony, championing initiatives that promote peace, security, and economic growth, the President said.

President Tinubu commended the Senate President’s resilience, leadership strength, and unshakable belief in Nigeria, celebrating him as a colleague in the shared task of national service.

The President prayed for God’s continued blessings on Senator Akpabio, wishing him many more years of good health, strength, and impactful leadership.
