Tinubu mourns passing of Hajiya Rafat Idris Salami, Condoles with NUJ and IPI

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his condolences to the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) and the International Press Institute (IPI) following the death of Hajiya Rafat Idris Salami, the newly elected Treasurer of IPI.

Hajiya Salami, who also served as the Secretary of the NUJ, Abuja Council, was remembered for her exceptional contributions as a reporter, broadcaster, and producer, keeping the public informed on critical developmental issues. Her unwavering commitment to her profession and nation left an indelible mark.

 

President Tinubu extended his heartfelt condolences to the leadership and members of IPI, Voice of Nigeria (VON) staff, and the National Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), called on her colleagues, friends, and family to continue her impactful work as a tribute to the multilingual and multitalented journalist.
