Popular Hausa skit maker, Umar Dan Kawu, who is popularly known as ‘Umar Bush,’ has been appointed as the Special Assistant on Entertainment to Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa.
The Honourable Isa serves as the Senior Special Assistant to President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities.
The official appointment was confirmed through a letter with reference number SSAP/SNEO/24/VOL.1/464, addressed to Umar Dan Kawu, also known as Umar Mariri Tsamiya, in Kano State.
The letter, titled “Appointment As Special Assistant On Entertainment,” conveyed the approval of Umar Bush’s appointment and outlined his responsibilities, which include managing media promotion, enhancing public relations, and spearheading entertainment initiatives for the office.
Umar Bush’s appointment is effective from July 10, 2024, for an initial two-year term, with the potential for renewal based on his performance in the role.
Bush who rose to stardom for insulting people recently has featured in skit with Cute Abiola, despite not speaking any other languages other than Hausa.
He recently got a ₦100m deal with Ziptol, a company that produces powder detergent.
Meanwhile, his appointment has generated mixed reactions from netizens.
