The Chairman of Tantita Security Services Limited (TSSNL), High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary leadership in appointing seasoned professionals to the new Management and Board of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL).
In a statement released on Wednesday, Tompolo described the appointment of the 11-member team, led by Group Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) Engr. Bashir Bayo Ojuolari and Chairman Ahmadu Musa Kida, as a pivotal moment for both the NNPCL and Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
He praised President Tinubu for ensuring that only competent hands were entrusted with steering the affairs of the NNPCL at a critical time when Nigeria is striving to increase crude oil production and enhance local refining capacity.
“The challenges and opportunities before this new Management and Board are immense, but we are confident in their ability to drive the ongoing restructuring of the NNPCL to greater heights,” Tompolo stated.
He reaffirmed Tantita Security Services’ commitment to working closely with the NNPCL in safeguarding Nigeria’s oil assets and enhancing production capabilities. Tantita Security, a key player in oil infrastructure protection in the Niger Delta, has been instrumental in combating crude oil theft and pipeline vandalism.
Tompolo urged the new leadership to remain focused, innovative, and diligent in executing their mandate, noting that expectations were high. However, he expressed confidence that with their expertise, dedication, and support from stakeholders, they would lead NNPCL into a new era of efficiency and growth.
“As a critical partner in securing Nigeria’s oil assets, we stand ready to collaborate with the new leadership to achieve the goals set by President Tinubu, including ramping up local refining capacity and increasing crude oil production to 2 million barrels per day,” he added.
Tompolo concluded by congratulating the newly appointed Board and Management, wishing them a successful and impactful tenure that would drive progress and transformation in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
